July Update: CMAOA has had an extremely successful year lobbying for our member landlords. We proposed legislation, ld 1198, an act to reduce regulations for residential rental property owners, that was signed into law in June by Governor LePage. Passage of this law will improve the business climate for all Maine landlords. As the governor remarked, it helps to make things more fair for landlords.
